This is the next step for older children, and beginner cyclists. This will head out of Havelock North onto Napier Road, and then turning around the roundabout at Te Mata Mangateretere Road.

Then the final straight to the finish will bring all riders into the same finishing chute that the faster racers will be using, and setting you up for a sprint finish between friends, or to congratulate yourself for achieving your goals!

iWay 6km

This course is perfect for children, beginner cyclists or cyclists who want to enjoy riding with friends on the pathways! Hawkes Bay has beautiful pathways and trail options for escaping the roads.

The 6km course will head to the Havelock North Bridge and loop underneath to the karamu stream, and out and up onto the St Georges concrete pathway to the end. There is a short road section with a large cycle lane.

Linking up to the Hastings/Havelock North Pathway into the village, with ice cream and coffee shops on either side, if a pitstop is needed for the kids there is plenty of options!

Before finishing down the same finish chute the faster racers will come in on a little later.
